Femal Pros Are Digging A Hole For Themselves

Filed under: Uncategorized — kenlie @ 11:10 pm

I read an article on ESPN.com about Jean Van de Velde who will attempt to compete in next year’s women’s British Open. I don’t have a problem with this. Women can qualify for the PGA so what’s the problem? This feminist rage has been out of control for years. No one is saying women can’t play golf. No one is saying I can’t vote or be a lawyer or a professional athlete. Women are a part of the WNBA. It doesn’t mean I want to see a chick replace Chris Mihm as a center for the Lakers. Again, no one is saying women can’t play at a professional level. Go do it – with other girls.

I’m a woman learning to play golf, and it doesn’t bother me that my Scottish opponent (a former golfer at USC) can kick my ass. He’s good. He commands respect on the green, but that doesn’t give way to an inferiority complex for me.

If women can qualify for the PGA then men should be able to qualify for the LPGA. Women made the first move towards unisex sports so I don’t want to hear any complaining. We learn as children that there are empirical differences between boys and girls and it’s true. Why fight it? There is no shame in being a girl.

It seems to me that feminists are wasting their efforts. Instead of constantly trying to prove you’re as good as the boys, be at the top of your game, as a girl.

But if women insist on trying to do everything with the boys – then they can whine to someone else when the boys start winning their tournaments.

Where Should I Begin?

Filed under: Uncategorized — kenlie @ 11:14 pm

Tyra Banks walked around in a fat suit recently, making her appear to be 350 lbs., and was surprised at the reaction of people.  Come on.   Are you kidding?

First, lets see how nice Tyra is to a fat girl on her show. Wait! There probably won’t be any over-weight girls on her show. There likely won’t be many girls who are not ultra-skinny on her show.  Fine, but don’t insult women by walking around less beautiful than usual and be surprised that people treat you differently.  What did you expect, Tyra?

I’ve always liked Tyra Banks. She is one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen.  And I don’t think she is stupid enough that she needed to be fat for a day to realize people are not always as polite to fat women.

In fact,  it’s insulting to think that a woman as skinny as Tyra, who has made a fortune off of being hot,  would walk around pretending to learn what it’s like to be fat.

Okay, so lets say she had good intentions. She really wants to know what it’s like. Well, now you know a little Tyra. What do you plan to do about it?  You’ve gone back to your super model self, and how has this changed you?  I’d love to know.

Does she understand what it’s like now?   How hard it is to be born with less than model-like genetics? Or to stay up all night, depressed and/or scared, gaining weight, but being too unhappy with yourself to stop it? And does it help you understand how hard it is to lose it once it’s been gained?  All I want to know is what Tyra accomplished by doing this.

Everyone assumes obese people are lazy. Fair enough, but college students all over this country are lazy – there’s not all fat. They waste time instead of doing homework or stay up late, skip class, sleep in, etc. Kids are lazy. When I was 10, I was outside riding my bike – not playing video games. It’s a full blown problem in this country, and people talk about it on their TV shows, but what good does that do?

What Tyra did, just like when others have done it, makes a mockery of something that is already constantly mocked.  How is she different than the people who snickered at her when she was wearing the suit?

Everyone has problems, and people deal with them in different ways. Some turn to eating, some turn to running or studying, and some do things that are worse that being overweight (i.e. drugs, drinking, etc.) I gained a lot of weight after high school for reasons I’d never post on the web, and while it was easy to make excuses, responsibility for that fell on me alone. The problem of obesity has to be dealt with by the individual. If don’t like something about myself – I have to change it.

I just don’t understand the benefits of Tyra parading around as a fat person for a few hours.  Was it really just to confirm people are treated differently?  If so, that is absurd.

There Are Lesbians In The WNBA?? Who Knew?!

Filed under: Uncategorized — kenlie @ 11:15 pm

Is there anyone on the planet who didn’t think the WNBA was full of lesbians?

I guess I still don’t understand why this is such a big deal. We all deserve the same rights as Americans – as humans.

And while I believe marriage is between a man and woman, I think civil unions are fine. I have no problem with people who take part in it and have the same benefits I’d have with a husband. Call it what it is. Hell, make up a new word for it and move on.

I don’t understand why Sheryl Swoops felt the need to announce on national TV that she has sex with women? Should women who are heterosexual go on TV to say they have sex with men? I don’t need to know either way. I don’t care.

This issue has been exploited enough. I’m tired of hearing homosexuals complain about not being treated equally. It seems if they’d stop acting like their so downtrodden, they wouldn’t feel so downtrodden.

And while I’m at it – I’m tired of hearing minorities complain they’re not treated fairly. You’re given more opportunities than white men so shut up! People like Jesse Jackson urge people to feel sorry for themselves so they’ll send him a check on the promise he’ll work to ease their woes. Is it happening? Apparently not, since he’s still squalling.

There are jackasses in this country who look down on others because of their choice of sexual partners or the color of their skin or because of the way they look in general; but there are far less of those people than there were 50 years ago. So ignore them.

If we all deal with our own insecurities, the opinions of biased bigots won’t matter. They’re cowards anyway so who cares what they think?
